  • Graphs and visualizations have been used to chart the spread of infectious diseases since mid-19th century when the physician John Snow plotted the spread of Cholera cases on a map of London. Our ability to gather data for infectious disease outbreaks has become increasingly sophisticated over the centuries. However, if we are to address complicated questions related to disease surveillance, prevention and control then integration, analysis and visualization of these complex datasets is essential.

In this webinar, we will demonstrate how the visual analytics capability of TIBCO Spotfire® can play an important role in epidemiology by integrating publicly available datasets for the Ebola epidemic that started 2 years ago and has claimed over 11,000 lives and infected around 28,000 people.
