CAS Registry Numbers are ubiquitous in many published databases, and it is sometimes useful to be able to locate a list of compounds by searching for their CAS Registry Numbers. We have recently added this capability to ChemACX, so that a comma-delimited list of CAS Registry Numbers can be used in a search. This video demonstrates this added search capability, and describes how to create these CAS Registry Number lists from various sources.
Typing in an “OR” list of CAS#’s in ChemACX (no text file needed)
Wildcarding for catalog numbers, but not for CAS#’s
Searching for a batch of CAS#’s from a TXT file
Creating a CAS# file from ChemINDEX search results, via ChemDraw/Excel
Creating a CAS# file from a ChemFinder database
Creating a CAS# file from Inventory reports
Creating a CAS# file from ChemDraw’s expanded generic structure
Using a CAS# file in ChemACX to load a Shopping Cart
