  • Structure-to-Name includes improvements in version 12 to handle multiple ring structures.

    ChemDraw's Structure-to-Name now correctly names, for example:

    • Cubane and substituted cubanes
    • Prismane and substituted prismanes.
    • Terpheynl structures, which SymyxDraw names as diphenylbenzenes.
    • Hydroxy-substituted terpheynls, which SymyxDraw names as phenols.
    • Epidioxyanthracenes, which SymyxDraw cannot name at all.
    • Substituted ethanoanthracenes, which SymyxDraw also cannot name.
