  • The ChemDraw Add-in for Excel allows for the creation of a chemically-active spreadsheet. But one must set up the spreadsheet correctly in order to use functions like chemical search and SDF export. Specifically, one must use the column heading “Structure” for both of those functions to work. This article demonstrates usage of both functions.

The screenshots use Microsoft Excel 2003, but we discuss how the same functions work in Microsoft Excel 2007 as well. The sample CDX files were created in ChemBioDraw .....
